Hippo Hack

A 12-hour hackathon on Monday, August 28th
at the Reuben Hoar Public Library in Littleton, MA

What exactly is a Hackathon?

Don't worry, we are not actually hacking in the sense of the word "hacking!"

A hackathon is a place for creators to come together and work on a project relating to computer science and other fields of STEAM. These projects will be shared with everyone and we will all have an opportunity to appreciate the hard work and creativity put into these amazing projects.

Henry the hippo needs your help! He was last seen sobbing as he trudged away from his former habitat (destroyed by humans ofc).

After talking to Chris the crocodile, he has come to the revelation that he needs you (yes, you!) to help him accomplish his aspirations and better him and his species!

The What

Hippo Hack is a 12 hour hackathon where students of all experience levels across the Greater Boston area will congregate for a day full of collaboration, teamwork and fun! Hippo Hack is a completely free hackathon for students in grades 6-12!!

The How

Competitors will create a project from our list of topics based off of Henry's needs, and by the end of the hacking time, the judging phase will begin and winners will be chosen by judges as well as you guys! We will offer prizes in addition to other free merchandise!
